1. Description of Service
LocalLingo provides AI-powered live voice coaching for language learning, focusing on city-specific dialects and local slang. The service is provided "as-is" and for educational and training purposes only.
2. Eligibility & Verification
Usage requires account registration via Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In). Users must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in their jurisdiction, e.g., 16 in Sweden/EU) to register. One user per account. Third-party cryptographic or biometric verification (such as World ID) is not required.
3. Payments, Trials, & Subscriptions
Access to the service is subscription-based (Weekly or Monthly tiers) and processed strictly via Google Play Billing. A limited free trial (typically 5 minutes) is provided upon initial registration, after which an active subscription is required to initiate live coaching sessions. Refund requests are handled according to Google Play Store policies. Active subscriptions are not subject to a daily session cap, but remain bounded by automated session safety limits (such as a 15-minute hard cap per session and inactivity timeouts).
4. User Conduct
Users may not misuse the AI, attempt to bypass or reset trial limits, submit illegal, abusive, or offensive audio files, or reverse engineer the application. Concurrent usage of a single account across multiple devices is strictly prohibited and locked.
5. AI Disclaimer
Voice interactions, audio output, and linguistic feedback are generated in real-time via the Google Gemini API. AI output may be inaccurate, biased, or contain errors. LocalLingo is not responsible for translation, grammar, or language mistakes.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalLingo's total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid by the user in the preceding 30 days.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts (identified by Firebase UID, email address, or device ID) without notice for system abuse, billing fraud, or violations of these terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
